The film follows troubled teenager Donald “Donnie” Darko, who narrowly escapes a bizarre accident when a jet engine crashes into his bedroom. Afterward, Donnie begins to experience visions of a sinister figure in a rabbit costume named Frank, who tells him that the world will end in 28 days. As Donnie grapples with his mental state, he becomes increasingly drawn into a series of strange events involving time travel, alternate realities, and the darker sides of suburban life.
