GILDA is set in a glamorous Buenos Aires casino, where the lives of three complex characters become entangled in a web of passion, deception, and power. The story centers on Johnny (Glenn Ford), a gambler who takes a job at the casino, and his complicated relationship with its owner, Ballin Mundson (George Macready), and Mundson's new wife, Gilda (Hayworth). As tensions rise, old rivalries and romantic entanglements resurface, creating an intense atmosphere of intrigue.
